Rovers returned from Halifax Irish with an untroubled 2 league points which see’s them in the top 3, equal on points with Queens and Hunslet Old Boys. The result never looked in doubt from the off with hosts Irish looking nothing like the side that won the league just 3 seasons ago.

Winger Tommy Malyan rattled up 16 points, with a try and six goals. Influential stand-off Tom Wandless bagged a brace, and remaining touchdowns went to loose forward Carl Saville, second row Jamie Milburn, winger Carl Spencer, fullback Derrel Olpherts, and benchman Tom Burns.
Centre Jake McCarthy and loose forward James Yarker replied for the Irish.

Rovers could have done with a much tougher work out in preparation for this weekends testing BARLA Yorkshire cup encounter where they travel to old adversaries Upton, kick off 2.00pm.
